What kind of cleaning services do we offer?
We work with specialists in the cleaning industry to train our employees with the best standards.
With Sona Maids always get professionals for your scheduled cleanings. Those occasional cleaning ladies or someone looking for a career change and wants to earn something by working as a cleaner are not the types of people we hire.
The following basic cleaning services are provided by Sona Maids.

How many people come to my basic cleaning and how do I plan the scope of work?
The number of people depends on the scope of the planned cleaning and the size of the area. Usually, there is a team of two people and this can vary from each job.
Here’s an example: Suppose your necessary cleaning work is 5 hours. Now if a single cleaner comes and starts at 11 am, the job is finished at 4 pm. But, if 2 people come and start at 11 am then they will be finished earlier at 1:30 pm. The total work remains at 5 hours for both options, so the amount of time to clean properly is always the same. The only difference is that 2 people will finish the cleaning in half the time.
The scope of your planned cleaning depends on the condition, the degree of contamination and the necessary work. The example below is based on previous experiences and the average time.
For example, we calculate for furnished areas it normally takes up to 41 minutes per 10 m². So it depends entirely on how extensive your planned cleaning has to be. If only the floors have to be wiped, the work should take less than 40 minutes. If, on the other hand, cleaning after renovations or after prolonged periods without cleaning, then you can very well calculate up to 40 minutes or more.
For unfurnished areas, our experience is that the work is normally halved to 15-20 minutes per 10 m². Again, depending on the amount of work, this number can be sometimes more or sometimes less.
Do Sona Maids bring the cleaning material?
All cleaning equipment is brought by our cleaning staff for your cleaning!
All cleaning teams are equipped with professional equipment. Whether it be a vacuum cleaner, cleaning cloths, mops, or squeegees, our teams carry these materials with them.
If you would like us to use your detergents or equipment, that’s not a problem. Please include this in the notes while booking.
Do I have to be on site during the cleaning?
For your convenience, you do not have to be present during the cleaning.
The important thing is to let the cleaning team in and provide proper instructions. We have a thorough checklist for every cleaning that we recommend reviewing so that you can communicate anything you’d like us to focus on or something you may want to add on.
We recommend to always review the checklist after the cleaning to determine the performance of our team. This will help you to avoid subsequent complaints and ensure that the cleaning result meets your requirements.
Do I have to put away my things?
It is advisable to keep your surfaces free wherever you can.
The advantage is that the end result is a better one. It makes it easier for us to get to the critical spots and provide faster cleaning too. However, we are more than happy to assist you on-site to clear up these surfaces. When scheduling please include this in the notes so that we can plan accordingly.
The downside is that we naturally calculate this time as well. If you want to save costs, it is advisable to clear the surfaces yourself in advance.
What do I do if I am not satisfied with my basic cleaning?
We work to improve ourselves every day and every one of our cleaners are dedicated to providing the best service.
Nevertheless, on occasion, we understand there may be a complaint. Your feedback is therefore extremely important, and that’s the only way we can pinpoint and fix long-term issues.
If you have a complaint, please let us know within 24 hours after the cleaning date and we will reclean for free! We need this complaint in writing (by e-mail to email@example.com) with the reasons and a photo. You will receive a confirmation of your complaint from us.
